New GMP commissioner exchanges views with journalists

Newly-joined Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) Commissioner Mollah Nazrul Islam exchanged views with local journalists at the conference hall of GMP headquarters on Thursday. During the meeting, the newly-joined GMP Commissioner listened to the journalists. They raised various problems of the city before the commissioner and wished immediate move from him solve the problems. GMP Commissioner Mollah Nazrul Islam sought co-operation from all quarters including journalists to keep the law and order situation peaceful in Gazipur.

Conducted by the Deputy Commissioner Jakir Hasan, Additional Commissioner Md Barkatullah Khan, Deputy Commissioners Tanvir Momtaz, Mohammad Iltutmish, Farjana Islam, Nure Alam and Abdullah Al Mamun along with other high police officials were present at the meeting. A large number of journalists from various print and electronic media working in the metropolitan attended the meeting.To mention, Mollah Nazrul Islam has been appointed as the new commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) through a gazette notification issued by Public Security Division of the Home Ministry on June 30, 2022. He formally joined the office on Wednesday (July 13).
