March 7 has appeared countless times in liberation war movies. However, no movie was made based on the March 7 speech. Ananya Mamun is bringing his new movie 'Radio' to fill that void in history. How important role radio played as a medium of information and communication to the people in the freedom movement of a country in a village deprived of citizenship, is highlighted through this film. On March 7, the entire Bengali nation heard Bangabandhu's historic speech at the Race Course Maidan in Dhaka through the radio. Based on that speech, a group of freedom-crazed people rose up in that remote village, which later laid the foundation for independence. The story of the movie 'Radio' is based on such a story. And the film is going to be released on March 7.
Confirming the fact, Ananya Mamun said that all the work of his movie has been completed. The campaign will start soon. Today the image will be deposited in the sensor.Mamun said, “Since the movie focuses on Bangabandhu's speech on March 7; So I am going to release the film in March. "Radio" will go to censor on Wednesday. Hope to get uncut clearance. I also believe that the members of the Censor Board will be impressed by the film. I will announce the release date when I get the clearance. March 3 or 10 is in the plan for now.”He further said, “I made the film 'Radio' with a lot of passion and care. The artists have worked in it with their hundred percent labor and effort. Especially Riaz Bhai, Zakia Bari Mom, Nader Chowdhury, Pran Roy have done excellent work in their roles. I have high hopes for this film. Those who want to see pictures of the country, want to see pictures of patriotism will fill their hearts with 'Radio'.""Radio" is built on the story of people's awakening during the liberation war. The story of this movie will proceed with the incident of some people of a village, focusing on hearing the speech of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on 7 March 1971. We shot the movie with great difficulty in a remote village of Padmapar. It seems like we are going to witness history. I hope everyone will like the movie,” added the director.
After 15 years, Riyaz and Mom have teamed up on the big screen with the movie 'Radio'. Earlier they acted in Taukeer Ahmed's 'Daruchini Dweep' in 2007. These two stars are also optimistic about the film. Both are hoping that their duo's second film will get censor clearance with appreciation.
