ICT audit vital to combat banking fraudulence

Promotion of information and communication technology (ICT) based audit could be the vital means of combating banking sector fraudulence. Large-scale application of ICT is also important for making the banking transactions and other services transparent, time-befitting and client-friendly in the present era of globalization. The observations came in the inaugural session of a five-day training titled "Computer on IT Audit" at ICT Division's Computer Training Laboratory in Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) here yesterday afternoon. Some 22 mid-level officers of the bank joined the course.
