Samsung organizes photography contest on Bangladesh


Samsung Electronics, the global leader in consumer electronics has announced the winners of the photography contest- 'This is Bangladesh".  The purpose of the competition was to portray Bangladesh positively with picturesque photographs in digital media and recognize amateur photographers who captured the photos. Each winner will receive a 32" Samsung TV as reward of their creativity.  The contest was kicked off on 1st December, 2016 in Samsung Bangladesh's official Facebook page "Samsung Bangladesh" asking participants to upload any photo of Bangladesh taken by them with  hashtag This is Bangladesh (#ThisIs-Bangladesh). Samsung received more than five hundred photographs from the contestants out of which nine photos were shortlisted by Samsung Electronics Bangladesh. These nine photographs were then uploaded in Facebook for public voting in and were judged by freelance photographers.

As per the decision of the judge panel and number of likes on the photographs in Facebook, Samsung Electronics Bangladesh announced Mr. Md. Abdul Momin of Bogra as the 1st , Mr. Imtiaz Uddin  of Dhaka as the 2nd & Mr. Tonmoy Chowdhury of Dhaka as the 3rd winners of the 'This is Bangladesh' contest. Mr. Abdul Momin has received a 32" Samsung Smart TV, Mr. Imtiaz Uddid has received a 32" Samsung Music TV and Mr. Tonmoy Chowdhury has received a 32" Samsung Basic LED TV as award. While announcing the winners of the competition, Mr. Firoze Mohammad, Head of Consumer Electronics, Samsung Electronics Bangladesh said, ''Samsung Electronics has always recognized the efforts to portray Bangladesh positively.
