Minor boy abused in Sirajganj district

An eight years minor boy was sexually abused allegedly by a teacher at Kamarkhanda upazila of the district on 27th December at night. The boy is a class two student at a local school. Victim's father Rafiqul Islam, a resident of Biyara village, said Shah Alam, 38, son of late Shader Ali and resident of Bagnay village under Rayganj upazila, also a teacher of Nandina Kamliya Hafizia Madrasa, lured the boy to a nearby house by offering sweetmeats in the night.

Shah Alam later sexually abused the boy by tightening his hands and leg and fled in the scene, he said. Following, a written complaint lodged by the victim's father, police arrested Shah Alam from Nandina Kamliya Hafizia Madrasa on Tuesday noon. Kamarkhanda police station officer-in-charge (OC) of Babul Uddin Sardar confirmed the incident to the AA correspondent.
