What this year's Int'l Children's Film Festival will offer
With the slogan 'Future in Frames' (Frame Frame Agamir Swapno), International Children's Film Festival is going to begin very soon. The festival is going to start on January 24 which will continue till January 30 at 11 venues in Dhaka, Rajshahi and Rangpur simultaneously.  A press conference held on January 10 at Liberation War Museum confirmed the news including the information about what this year's film fest will offer.

At the press meet the festival director informed that the main venue of the festival will be the Central Public Library's Shawkat Osman auditorium. Except for the inauguration day, four films will be screened at each of the venues at 11 am, 2 pm, 4 pm and 6 pm every day.  This festival will feature 200 films from 54 countries in these 11 venues. Every screening will be opened for the children along with their parents.

This year the festival will be inaugurated by Finance Minister AMA Muhith. The inauguration ceremony will take place at Shawkat Osman Auditorium of Central Public Library at 4 pm. Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor and Minister of Information Hasanul Haque Inu will be the special guests.

Festival director Abir Ferdous also enlightened that; one of the main attractive categories of this festival will be Child Filmmaker's competition, where films made by Bangladeshi children will be screened and compete. In this category 60 films were submitted among what 21 films have been selected for this festival. Among these 21 films, 5 movies will get awards. The interesting fact is the jury board for this category also consists of children, that means, youngsters and children will select the best 5 films among these 21 movies. There will be a 5-member jury board for this category.

Like every year, this year also Young Bangladeshi Talent Category will be there where 19-25 aged young man and woman will participate. Besides, there will be a Social Film Category where films related to climate change and environment will compete.
