At least 1 lakh farmers have been suffering due to lack of irrigation facilities at the Kundail (Kata Nadi) canal, Gurudashpur, Natore. They have been waiting for last 12 years for a rubber dam. Marginal farmers are most affected by irrigation problems. The famous Chalanbil is great. It grows in summer, huge golden various kinds BRRI paddy; Bona Aman, Ropa Amon, lentil, mustard, balsam apple, patel, other pulses, onions, garlics, potatoes, brinjals, tomatoes, cauliflowers, cabbages, pumpkins, ladies fingers, cucumbers, carrots, radish, green peppers and wheat in Singra, Gurudashpur and Tarash Upzilla. The Gurnai River stands southern side of the Chalanbil. A canal entered the Chalanbil from Gurnai River named Hardama (Hardama jola) canal. Water carry Hardama (hardama jola) canal from Gurnai River at the crops field in Chalanbil. Uncertainty the irrigation natural water goes away on the Kundail canal. - AA Correspondent, Natore
