Doob poster gives teasing first look

Film maker Mostafa Sarwar Farooki has unveiled the first look poster of his upcoming film. The film titled 'No Bed of Roses'('Doob' in Bangla), stars international actor Irrfan Khan and Nusrat Imroj Tisha in the lead roles besides Tolly-woo'd Parno Mittra and Rokeya Prachi as supporting characters. The poster, designed by Grinning Tree, captioned 'Buk er bhitor boye chole; Paahar name er nodi" (English Translation: A mountain-like river flows through his chest). The poster features the talented Irrfan teary-eyed, gazing stoically.

Meanwhile, the much-anticipated movie, which is said to be about Ahmed - who divorced his wife of 27 years and married an actress 33 years his junior, has still not been cleared for release.  Farooki, however, has denied that it's a biopic. The renowned director, who is known for works like Television and Ant Story, has taken the matter to court. Shaon, the the novelist's wife, explained her side of the story in a recent interview.  Shaon further added that she had never applied to stop the release of the movie. "I merely asked that any objectionable content that misrepresents Humayun Ahmed's life be removed."

Notably, Mostofa Sarwar Farooki had previously said that even if the movie cannot be released here, it will be released abroad since it has been co-produced by Jaaz Multimedia, Eskay Movies and Irfan Khan himself.
