The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has filed a case over Saturday's attempted assault on one of its checkpost at capital's Khilgaon, during which the suspected suicide bomber was shot dead.
RAB Deputy Assistant Director Kazi Hasanuzza-man filed a case under the Anti-Terrorism Act with the Khilgaon police station late on Saturday. Khilgaon police station sub-inspector Mainul Haque Khan said three unidentified persons, including the dead suspected attacker have been accused in the case.
Around 4:30am on Saturday, a motorcycle-borne man intruded into the checkpost. Alert RAB personnel opened fire and killed him on the spot. RAB officials said they suspect it was an attempted suicide attack as explosives were found strapped on the man's body.
On Friday, a suicide blast inside the RAB barracks at Dhaka's Ashkona killed a man. RAB said the suspected attacker also had bombs on his body.
