26 Ibn Sina Pharma employees held over sabotage plan



Police detectives have detained 26 employees of Ibn Sina Pharmaceuticals Limited in Gazipur on charges of planning sabotage, reports bdnews24.com.

The 12 officials and 14 security guards were detained in raids on the firm's factory and quarters at Shafipur in Kaliakoir early in the morning on Monday, Gazipur Detective Branch OC Md Amir Hossain said.

They include Manager Md Jakaria and official Md Tamim.

The detained Ibn Sina employees were members of Jamaat-e-Islami and its affiliates, OC Amir said and added that they were detained following a tip-off that they were planning sabotage.

Police, however, declined to comment on what kind of sabotage they were planning.
