Thai trade show to begin in city tomorrow

Aiming to help expand trade relations between Thailand and Bangladesh a four-day-long Thai trade show is set to begin from Wednesday.

Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed will inaugurate the trade show titled "Thailand Week 2017" on Wednesday at Sonargaon hotel in the city.

Ministry of Commerce, Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Royal Thai Government and Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka are jointly hosting the event in two phases.

Trade days will consist of Business Matching sessions to be held from March 22 to 23 and on March 24 and 25 the exhibition will remain open to the public.

The fair will remain open from 10am to 8pm. Exhibitors comprise of both Thai exporters and Bangladeshi traders who import Thai Products or being agent of Thai companies. Only Thai products/services are allowed to exhibit in the fair.

Major categories of products and services displayed at the fair comprise Medicare services, cosmetic, beauty & wellness products, bedding accessories, spa, electrical appliances, stationery, household products, fruit, food, textile & fabric lingerie's, handbag, jewelry, confectionery, decorative items including goods related to kid.

This event is an effort of the Royal Thai government to expand the opportunities to the business communities of both countries which will consequently strengthen the economical ties, the release added.Producers and exporters of Thai products will take part directly in the fair.
