Ruling party MP Bodi gets bail in graft case


The court granted interim bail to the ruling party law maker Abdur Rahman Bodi on Monday.  Sources said the lawmaker of ruling Awami League from Teknaf constituency Abdur Rahman Bodi surrendered before the court of the Divisional Special Judge Mir Ruhul Amin in connection of cases that were filed by Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) during the care taker  regime on December 17 in 2007.

He also appealed before the court for bail. The court of the Divisional Special Judge Mir Ruhul Amin granted interim bail for the lawmaker of ruling Awami League Abdur Rahman Bodi.

It may be mentioned that Deputy Director of ACC Abul Kalam Azad filed a case against Abdur Rahman Bodi on December 17 in 2007 for hiding information regarding his assets.

The ACC submitted the charge sheets against Abdur Rahman Bodi on June 24 in 2008 in connection with the case. The court accepted the charge sheets on July 27 on 2008.
