Four injured in wall collapse


Four persons were injured severely when the wall of a  semi-pucca house collapsed on them at Kajirdewri area in the port city at around 7 am on Monday morning.
 
 The victims are identified as Ovi Das (20), Shadev Das (21), Arup Das (27) and Togor Bala Devi (70). All are the members of a family.

 Sources said, the construction materials of the multistoried under construction building at the side of the semi-pucca house of the victims fell on their house at around 7 am. As a result, the wall of the house also collapsed on the sleeping members of the house- Ovi Das, Shadev Das, Arup Das and Togor Bala Devi causing them severe injuries
.
 Soibal Das Sumon, the Ward Councilor of Jamal Khan Ward of Chittagong City Corporation said the owners of the multi-storied building are constructing an eight storied building without any precautionary measures.

 As a result, the construction materials of the multistoried under construction building at the side of the semi pucca house of the victims fell on their house."  The injured are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
