After stealing the reserve through password forgery, now hackers have hacked the e-mail of Bangladesh. Important confidential documents have been sent to top executives of different banks from that e-mail. Bangla-desh Bank has already deactivated the e-mail. They have sought the cooperation of the information and communication division to stop such incidents.
Ten lac US dollar of the foreign exchange reserve of Bangladesh Bank was stolen by hacking 13 months ago. Though some money has been got back, the racket of the hackers still remains traceless. In the meantime, the hacking incident has taken place again.
In this regard, the managing director of Dhaka Bank Syed Mahbubur Rahman said hackers could steal money giving forged messages and information. When the matter of the fake messages via e-mail came to light, the IT experts of Bangladesh Bank deactivated the e-mail. The matter has been communicated to the information and technology department of Bangla-desh Bank for further investigation.
The executive director of Bangladesh Bank Shuvonkar Saha said we have informed the ICT Ministry after getting a fake mail. Meanwhile, analysts said such incident has taken place due to the lax security of Bangladesh Bank. After the incident, Bangladesh Bank has sent letter seeking necessary security of the ICT system of Bangladesh through expert officials, according to a private TV channel.
