Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to continue hoisting local cautionary signal number three as steep pressure gradient still lies over the North Bay, said a spokesman of Met office this morning.

On river-ports, the Met office said "in association with rain or showers temporary gusty or squally wind speed 45-60 kph is likely to occur over the regions of Faridpur, Dhaka, Tangail, Madaripur, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Rangpur and Sylhet wherein riverports shall hoist cautionary signal number one."
Meanwhile, a weather bulletin of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said, "Heavy rainfall is likely over Mymensingh, Sylhet, Dhaka, Barisal and Chittagong divisions while landslide may occur at places over the hilly regions including Chittagong and Sylhet."
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
