President of Chittagong Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CMCCI) and eminent industrialist Khalilur Rahman urged the government for special allocation to develop of Chittagong in next budget and ensure gas and power in industries.
Addressing the Pre-Budget discussion with the Chairman of National Board of Revenue (NBR) Mohammad Nojibur Rhaman held at CMCCI on Sunday afternoon, CMCCI chief said, "Chittagong needs special allocation for development of Chittagong port, the prime sea port of the country."
NBR Chairman Nojibur Rahman categorically agreed to form an arbitration committee to solve the disputes in export and import said, "The next budget will target saving the local industries, creating of jobs and business, investment friendly environment in Bangladesh."
Among others CMCCI Vice-president A M Mahbub, member of NBR Barrister Jahangir Hossain, CMCCI Directors Mohammad Shahab Uddin Alam, Abul Bashar Chowdhury, Mohammad Abdul Awal, Mohammad Abdus Salam, Shafiq Uddin, Aminuzzaman Bhuiyan, M A Malek, Liakot Ali Chowdhury, Mohammad Lokman Hakim, W R I Mahmud and Sultana Shirin Akter addressed the meeting.
