BCL leader killed in Chittagong


One leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of the ruling Awami League, was killed at Fatepur area under Hathazari upazila in Chittagong last night.

The victim, identified as Mohammed Lokman, 32, was the General Secretary of Fatepur union Chhatra League and a member of Fatepur union council. He was the son of some Monir Hossain.
 
According to the sources, Mohammed Lokman came under attack and was chopped by unidentified miscreants at around 12 am in the midnight while he was returning home after attending a Milad Mahfil at the area.

Later, passerby rescued him and rushed him to Chittagong Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Duty officer of Chittagong Medical College Hospital police outpost Jakir Hossain said, "Locals brought Mohammed Lokman at the hospital at midnight but, doctors declared the victim dead after they reached the hospital." 

Sources said, Chhatra League leader Lokman has been killed just after one day of the assassination of Jubo League leader Mohammed Shohel Rana alias Bocha Bablu at Shandwip.
