BCCI calls emergency meeting after Manchester blast
BCCI has called for an emergency meeting following an explosion in singer Ariana Grande’s concert late night on Monday in Manchester, England.

Greater Manchester Police said 19 people were confirmed dead and roughly 50 were injured by the explosion at Manchester Arena.

Team Indian is slated to travel to England for the Champions Trophy starting on June 1 and the BCCI wants to keep all bases covered for security purposes. The meeting involving the team manager and all logistics managers will take place in BCCI head office in Mumbai.

The agenda of the meeting will be to review the complete tour schedule of India, including practice sessions and travel between team hotels to stadium.

There security concerns have risen because Manchester is not far from India’s venue for the warm-up games, London. India will take on New Zealand on May 28 and Bangladesh on May 30 before starting their main campaign against arch rivals Pakistan on June 4 in Birmingham.

The 15-member Indian squad will leave for England on Wednesday evening and will reach around 7 am (GMT) on Friday (26th May).
