Bangladesh has generated 9,358 MW of electricity on Saturday night, a new milestone in country's history of power generation.
Saiful Hassan Chowdhury, Power Development Board Director (Public Relations), sent an SMS to UNB that said the feat was achieved at 9pm on Saturday. This is the highest figure in country's history of power generation so far, he added.
He, however, didn't inform whether there is any power shortage in the country or not.
Meanwhile, power disruption in various areas of the country is still continuing, report UNB correspondents.
