Elections for Prime Minister in Albania ended on 23rd June, 2013 with both parties claiming victory. This election was being looked at as a key test of whether or not Albania was ready to join the European Union. During the election both sides accused the other of vote-rigging and the country had struggled with free elections for twenty years, since the fall of the Soviet Union.
