At least 45 orphans and widows of Manikganj were given food items in the Circuit House on Tuesday afternoon. Deputy Commissioner of Manikganj Nazmus Sadat Selim handed over these foods to the orphan children and widows. Each of the 45 people got 18 kg food items including 8 kg of rice, 5 kg of potato, 1 kg of pulses, 1 kg of sugar, 1 litre of soybean oil, 1 kg of salt, half-kilogram of Semai and 1 packet of spices.
Muslim Aid UK took the initiative of distributing 18 kg of food items among 45 destitute orphans and widows of Manikganj Sadar upazila. After the distribution of food items, doa mahfil and Iftar was held in honour of Manikganj people. DD of Local Government Division Abdul Matin, Additional DC (General) and others were present.
