Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal No 3. All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.
The Met office has asked four maritime ports to issue cautionary signal No. 3, due to stormy weather, heavy rainfall and low-pressure system developing in the northern Bay of Bengal.
The low pressure system is likely to proceed north, through the Bay of Bengal and up to the coastal region and the sea ports, bringing gale force winds and heavy rain, the report said.
The state weather agency asked all fishing boats and trawlers should seek immediate safe harbor and have been told to stay in port until the department issues an update.

The Met Office forecast more heavy rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur. Day and night temperature may remain unchanged.
Though the continues rainfall is making the life measurable in many parts of the country but still the tourists and visitors are not preventable to visit the beaches of Cox’s Bazar even in this bad weather, especially after Eid. That is why it becomes more important to issue cautionary signal No. 3 to avoid accidents.
