Vietnam trade delegates on 3-day visit to Dhaka

A 22-member business delegation led by deputy director general from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Do Huu Huy is in Bangladesh on a three-day visit to conduct market survey as well as B2B meeting.

Bangladesh-Vietnam Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and Embassy of Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Bangladesh organized a B2B meeting followed by a seminar on 'Bangladesh-Vietnam Trade, Investment Promotion' on Wednesday in the city.

Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed was present at the seminar as the chief guest and Civil Aviation and Tourism minister Rashed Khan Menon was present as special guest.  Among others, Ambassador from Vietnam to Bangladesh Tran Van Khoa represented Vietnam in the seminar with Deputy Director General from Ministry of Industry and Trade Do Huu Huy.

 Vietnamese Ambassador to Bangladesh Tran Van Khoa focused on bilateral trade relation between two countries and different sectors of business opportunity. He also spoke about the opportunity of importing agro machinery, stone and minerals, processed food items, construction materials and electrical and mechanical accessories from Vietnam.  Do Huu Huy said the relationship will help eventually bring future foreign investment from Vietnam to Bangladesh.
