Advisor Tarique Siddique's mother's qulkhani held

The Qulkhani and Doa Mahfil of Shamsunnahar Siddique mother of Major General (Retd) Tarique Ahmed Siddique, security advisor to the prime minister, was held yesterday at Gulshan Jame Mosque in the capital Dhaka after Juma prayers. 

The eldest son of the deceased, Rafique Siddi-que, one of the top activi-sts of Rotary Foundation and Major General (Retd) Tarique Ahmed Siddique spoke at the mahfil recalling the memories of her mother. The deceased’s second son, eminent academician Prof Dr Shafique Siddique was present there at that time.

Focusing the role of an educated mother to raise the kids, Advisor Tarique Ahmed Siddique echoed the quote of Napoleon-"Give me an educated mother, I shall promise you the birth of a civilized, educated nation." With the continuation of Napoleon's assertion, he said that our mother had the kind and educated heart in raising us up.

Advisor Tarique left suggestion for the mothers to follow the ideology of their mother while upbringing their kids. Shamsunnahar Siddique died on August 3 of this year. She was 86.  Notable military officials, bureaucrats and civilians including the chiefs of the Bangladesh Army, Navy, Air Force and Inspector General of Police (IGP) , Director General (DG) of RAB were present at the Doa Mahfil.

It is mentionable that the president of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Nazmul Hasan Papon and Chairman of The Asian Age Shoeb Chowdhury were also present at the Qulkhani and took part in the special prayer.
