'Rohingyas must return to their own country'

Health and Family Welfare Minister Moham-mad Nasim said on Tuesday that the Rohingyas fleeing from violence in the Rakhine state in Myanmar, would have to return their own land.

"Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given shelters to the Rohingyas on humanitarian ground. But, they will not be allowed to stay in the country for long period of time and they must return to their own country," he said.

He was addressing an inauguration ceremony of the 'Shashtha Suroksha Karmashuchi' -SSK (Hea-lth Protection Activi-ty) at Madhupur and Ghatail upazilas held at Tangail District Auditorium.

Nasim, also a presidium member of the ruling Awami League (AL), distributed free health cards among the poor in the ceremony. The minister requested the Myanmar government to bring the refugees back to their country.
