The Federation Cup karate championship 2017, organized by Bangladesh Karate Federation (BKF), will begin on September 28 in BKF's premises. The competition will end on September 30, a press release said yesterday. At least 1000 participants from country's different district sports association, divisional sports association, universities and other fields will take part in 70 categories of this competition.
The champions will be awarded by Tk 15000, runners-up will get Tk 10000 and the third place team will get Tk 5000 in the team Kumi (fighting) event. BKF general secretary Sheikh Ali Ahsan Badal said, "We are going to organize a big event for the first time in our country. Our national team is doing well in different international event. So, now it is our duty to make it popular in our country. We hope this event will help to develop and inspire our root-level players."
