Bangladesh to face India today


The hosts Bangladesh will lock horn with the two-time defending champions India today in the eight-nation Hero 10th Men's Asia Cup Hockey Pool A match at Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium in Dhaka.

The match will kicks off at 5:30 BDT. Each team has already played one group match. It will be their second meet. In the first match, India beat Japan by 5-1 goals while the hosts Bangladesh lose to Pakistan by 0-4 goals which held Wednesday.

Bangladesh's coach Mahbub Harun said, "We have not played well against Pakistan as per plan. There was something wrong with the player marking. There was a plan to explain the technical issues in… But now we will try to correct our mistakes against India. We have some special plans for this big match… We will give our best against them."

On another hand India's Sjoerd Marijne said, "I saw some parts of Bangladesh-Pakistan match. Bangladesh made some mistakes.

I will not say anything about those mistakes now. Our target is to win all matches. Bangladesh have the power to turn around, but they have sort out their problems. If Bangladesh thinks we are weak then it is wrong. We are bound to maintain the continuity of winning."
