Bangladesh to export hardware by 2021 as local companies started manufacturing products, said, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, State Minister for ICT.
He said, it is good news for us that local company like Walton manufacturing hardware product and Samsung, LG and other local companies following them as they are going to start manufacturing ICT product soon.
He said this at the inaugural ceremony of Bangla-desh ICT Expo-2017 which begins on Wednesday at the Bangabandhu Interna-tional Conference Center (BICC) for letting the people know about the remarkable successes achieved so far in ICT sector.
Bangladesh Hi-tech Park Authority of Infor-mation and Communi-cation Technology (ICT) Division and Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) are jointly organizing the three-day event. Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal inaugurated the flagship event of the country's ICT sector with a slogan 'Make in Bangladesh'.
He said, we are on the way to completion of being. But Bangladesh needs to be commercialized to get the benefits from it. He said, the digital Bangladesh ream will come true by the hand of the next generation and we can reach our goals. They have to be rich in information technology and to train them in proper ICT methods we need special teacher as we have lake ICT teachers.
He said, "If necessary, bring teachers from develop countries to train the youth. There is huge potential in the ICT sector like the ready-made garment industry. To utilize this possibility, the efficiency of using advanced technology, including Internet of Thinks, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, has to be increased."
Around 50 local and foreign experts including those from Taiwan, Malaysia, Russia and Japan, high officials, ICT personalities, IT goods producers and entrepreneurs are scheduled to take part in the fair.
People will be able to visit the fair for free from 10 am to 8 pm.
