The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and the Access to Information (a2i) program of the Prime Minister's Office will work together to reduce the cost of doing business, to explore the opportunities and capacity development of various stakeholders. FBCCI and a2i have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) yesterday at a ceremony at FBCCI office in the city.
Secretary General (In-Charge) of FBCCI Hussain Jamil and Director General of PMO Kabir Bin Anwar signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.
Acting President of FBCCI Sheikh Fazle Fahim, Vice President Md Muntakim Ashraf and other directors of FBCCI, Anir Chowdhury, Policy Advisor of the a2i program and other high officials from both organization were also joined the program, among others.
According to the MoU both parties will develop an online government to business (G2B) platform by simplifying, digitizing and integrating G2B services delivered by different agencies across the government.
Both a2i program and the FBCCI will develop an ICT based platform to improve the situation for business entities including micro-small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and large investors.
They will also develop a business portal named the 'Business Batayan" for ensuring accessibility to information and services required by business entities which will facilitate knowledge sharing among the business entities.
It will also focus on enhancement of capacity of the existing digital center throughout the country and also will create skilled human resources for decent employment, they added.
Addressing on the signing ceremony cting President of FBCCI Sheikh Fazle Fahim said that under this memorandum FBCCI and the a2i program will work together for the next three years.
