Could you imagine, a young lad who's barely about 14 years of age, puffing nicotine shamelessly in front of an elderly citizen? Could you even imagine a teenager swashbuckling around the hood like a dope? Who would have imagined that youngsters taking drugs publicly?
All these were impossible events according to one of the independent branches of Mathematics which is Probability even just a couple of years ago. But look around you now! All those are not only possibilities but also these are the realities which are blooming in an epidemic way, without any control.
Back in our old days, when we used to be in 6th grade, we all had one common dream and that was a bicycle. The process of making the dream come true was very easy and simple to our parents but was like The Great Adventure of Hercules as the conditionals was very strict. A Champ's trophy, and a bicycle was our reward if we were to secure the highest position in our school's final term.
Thus, the days and nights were profusely spent studying ending with a sound sleep, dreaming the freedom of riding our ever wanted bicycle. But look at the young striplings now. Very few of today's kids have kept our tradition alive and the rest have indulged themselves in Facebook and Instagram, posting cool and so-called 'Aesthetic' pictures of themselves in very much disgusting western manners.
One of the greatest obstacles to this era's youth development is online social media. Due to online Social Media, the youngsters are not coming in contact with socialization. Thus, increasing the distance with the normal nature of the society. Not only this, all of them using the Social Media continuously makes them uncreative.
Due to this uncontrolled use of social media by our young lads and wenches, various misshapes are occurring and the whole society is suffering. Many will burst into laughter though, but to be honest, even today, when I am permitted to use the laptop for the allotted time bound by my father, my mom sits beside me and keeps a keen watch on both the monitor and me. Though I think it's very much embarrassing but still, it is undoubtedly necessary, especially in this age in which we can't think of a single second without the use of technology.
Again, I think it wouldn't be offensive if I say, we don't have Television in our house. No need to console me because I and my young sister are doing fine without it. Still, we listen to the BBC radio every evening together. I think, due to not being in touch with technological goods in a constant manner, I feel much more secured and serene, both physically and mentally than most my friends. For these reasons, my studies are always up-to-date and I believe this control on technology maintained by my parents has made me very much social.
It's very sad how many of our young future leaders are getting derailed in various ways and wasting their invaluable lives. Now many of you may question me that what is the reason behind it but the answer is very much complex. According to my point of view, the reasons are: availability of drugs and other addictive substances, lack of parental control and proper care, constant mental stress, spending too much time on the social media, lack of authority over the pupils by the educational institutions, lack of proper knowledge about health & hygiene, lack of proper steps and actions by the administration, and poverty.
Basically, these are the main reasons behind today's social degradation. As we know, 'Prevention is better than cure,' we must take proper steps to eradicate these problems. We must state this with regret that, in this age of Modernization and Technology, the society has failed to take the proper steps. Not only the society but we, you and I have also failed to take the right steps in building a beautiful society and a bunch of 'social' youngsters. Undoubtedly the administration has also failed to play its part in this context.
Now the time has come for another reformation with the chance of changing the whole scenario of our society. It can be done by developing our striplings both in the domestic and international arena. It's time to make the dream of the martyrs of 71' come true by reforming our youngsters, developing our youths and molding our striplings in a real 'Aesthetic' way.
