Bullet-hit body found in Jessore
Police have recovered the body of an unidentified man in Jessore after what an alleged shootout between two gangs of robbers.

The gunfight occurred on the Jessore-Magura Highway in the Nongorpur area raround 2:30am on Tuesday, said Jessore Kotowali Police Station OC Azmal Huda.

The deceased is approximately 60-years-old, police said.

“Police received a report that two gangs of robbers were involved in a shootout,” said OC Huda. “A team was dispatched to the area.”

“The robbers fled when they noticed the police presence. The police personnel saw the body of an unidentified man who had been struck by a bullet.”

Doctors at Jessore Sadar Hospital declared him dead, the OC said.

A firearm, two rounds of bullets, six sharp weapons, ten sandals and some rope were found at the scene, he added.
