'Technology can cut corruption in land management'

Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sharif said that corruption could be eliminated by using modern technology in the country's land management.

"An institute for land reform and training is very much needed as the country is lagging behind in modern technology-oriented training," he said as the chief guest while inaugurating the 12-storey expansion project from sixth floor of Land Administration Training Center in Kantaban in Dhaka.

"There is no inclusion of land related topic in any curriculum of the educational institutions as many civil service officials face troubles for not having knowledge about this sector."
