Dr Dinesh Chandra Sen should be discovered for his secular spirit. His works must be evaluated in a proper manner as he did a rare job of collecting folk ingredients of literary from rural people of the then East Bengal. Speakers made the call at the concluding ceremony on occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Dr Dinesh Chandra Sen (1866-1939) who recovered the glorious past of Bangladesh and a rare researcher of folk literature and culture.
DU Prof Abul Kashem Fazlul Haque was present as the chief guest while CU Pro-VC Prof Dr Shirin Akhter, Prof Debkanya Sen, GS of Dinesh Chandra Sen Research Society, Kolkata, Netrokona-1 MP Chhabi Biswas were present as the special guests at the function at Dr Sirajul Islam Hall, Lecture Theater of DU yesterday chaired by Dr Isa Mohammad, President of Dinesh Chandra Sen Research , Dhaka. Prof Ahmed Kabir presented the keynote while Chinmoy Hawlader of Dinesh Chandra Sen Research delivered the welcome speech.
