Winter fashion tips for men: Secrets to looking dapper -The Asian Age

When it's cold, you have multiple options and styles to wear. So in this video and the tips below, I'm going to share with you my current looks and some tips on looking cool/original during the colder months of the year.

Classic and timeless: I like to go for items that can be perceived to be fashionable in any given year. So you wouldn't be able to easily date something I'm wearing. To do this, you need to choose clothes that are base colors and don't have too many distinctive patterns or "of the moment" styles.

Slim fitting jeans: Skinny jeans are still in fashion; however I believe that slim fitting jeans are best for smart and casual wear. They look great with pretty much everything… shirts, tees, jumpers, jackets… everything.

Chunky boots: Get some big chunky leather boots. Not only are they warm, but they are great look in the winter and can help if you're in an area where it snows too.

Thick layered jackets: My jacket is leather with a fur layer on the inside to keep me warm. I think the more layers your jacket has, the better it looks and the toastier you'll be.

White slim fitting long sleeved shirts: You can and should have your shirts tailored. Don't be afraid to wear something daring or original, tuxedo shirts are awesome with fitted jackets for a unique smart/casual look.

Classic cable knit jumpers: Another item of clothing that is perfect for the winter and great for keeping you warm. There are various styles and colors you can go for too.

Fitted jackets: Get a tailored range if you can. Velvet, dark blue, dark grey… all great winter colors and are essential for that smart casual look when you're going out for the night.

Parka jackets: A classic winter jacket that I've recently started wearing is a parka jacket. They're very unique, retro looking jackets and great with multiple layers.

Basic accessories:
Basic winter accessories include the beanie, scarf and gloves. I always go for leather gloves as they last longer and you can actually grip things with them, as opposed to thick slippery gloves. Stick to one or two colors if you can, don't go crazy with cartoon characters or anything stupid on them.

Simple bubble or puff jackets are cool:
Bubble jackets are very popular in the winter. Both sleeveless and sleeve bubble jackets are a great look and go with pretty much any winter style. I prefer the sleeveless look.
