Country's carrier across the sky, Biman Bangladesh Airlines has won the prestigious 'Foreign Airline of the Year-2015' award of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Malaysia for the 2nd consecutive year. The KLIA management awarded the national flag carrier for carrying highest number of passengers between Kuala Lumpur and South Asian destinations for the third time.
Biman's country manager in Malaysia Mohammed Salahuddin received the award from Malaysian transport minister YB Dato' Seri Liow Tiong Lai at a ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur in December, said a Biman press release on Wednesday.
The KLIA is one of the busiest airports in the world. It handled around 4.89 crore passengers and nearly 3.55 lakh flights in 2015. The Biman also won the same award in 2011 and 2014.
