FBCCI emphasised on expansion of bilateral trade with Sweden -The Asian Age

Business Leaders of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) emphasised on expansion of bilateral trade and investment between Bangladesh and Sweden.

FBCCI leaders made the call at a meeting with Bangladesh Ambassador designated to Sweden Nazmul Hossain on Wedn-esday at FBCCI building. FBCCI president Md Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin), Vice President Md Muntakim Ashraf and the directors and secretary general of FBCCI, among others, were present in the meeting. Bangladesh Ambas-sador designated to Sweden Nazmul Hossain assured the FBCCI leaders that he will extend his best effort to develop the bilateral trade relations between Bangladesh and Sweden during his tenure. 

The Ambassador also invited the FBCCI leaders to visit Sweden in this regards. Bangladesh exported goods worth $481.72 million to Sweden in 2015-16 and imported goods from there valued $75.23 million. Export products of Bangladesh to Sweden mainly are knitwear, woven garments, home textile and engineering products etc. The import items from Sweden are machinery, pulp of wood, vehicles and transport equipments.
