A perennial grass -The Asian Age

Hilly Kash and sugarcane are of the same genre as Kash. One can see Kash flowers blossoming along rivers, canals, ditches, swamps and watery marshes. Its stem provides a mildly sweet taste, but not the kind of sweet taste that one gets from the sugarcane.


They look like bushes and hedges. Kash flowers are white in color and look like puffs of cotton. They grow along a large flower stem and resemble the candy-tuft. Usually cash flowers blossom in the winter season, during the months of October to December. They have some medical qualities and are used in the treatment of jaundice.
