EWB branches at upazila level -The Asian Age

Finance Minister Abul Mal Abdul Muhith said the government has a plan to open the branches of the Expatriate Welfare Bank (EWB) at the upazila level.

"The government has a plan to open the branch of the Expatriate Welfare Bank gradually at the upazila level," said the minister while replying to a query made by treasury bench lawmaker Muhammad Golam Mostafa Biswas of Chapainawabganj-2 at the House here on Tuesday.

A total of 54 branches of the bank are now located at 48 district towns and six at upazila level, he mentioned.
