Development Fair-2018 draws huge visitors


People from all walks of life on Friday started gathering at the Development Fair being held around the country.
Our Khulna Correspo-ndent said the three-day-long Development Fair-2018, aimed at informing the success stories of the government in achieving Vision-2021 and Vision-2041 as well as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), began on Thursday.

A total of 120 stalls, including health, agriculture, food, roads and highways, LGED and other departments, were set up at the fair venue. People from all sections of society, including service-holders, common people, students and youths, are visiting the fair. While visiting the fair premises on Friday, our Khulna Correspondent found that different departments of the government were busy in showcasing their development activities at their stalls.

Our Manikganj Corresp-ondent said the fair has been organized by Manikganj district administration, State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Zahid Malek, MP inaugurated the fair at Manikganj Government High School playground.

Deputy Commissioner Md Nazmus Sadat Salim and Chairman of Manikganj Zila Parishad Advocate Golam Mohiuddin, among others, were present on the occasion.  Our Gaibandha Corres-pondent said the district administration has organized the fair on Independence Square of the town in the district in a befitting manner.

The three-day programs include reality show, quiz and debate competition, cultural function and prize distribution among the winners. While talking to our Correspondent, Deputy Commissioner Gautam Chandra Pal said a total of 70 stalls of government and non-government departments have been set up in the fair.
