Country's software and ICT based leading association Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) will be working for the welfare of its members, as it was stated in the 19th Annual General Meeting of BASIS held at IDEB Auditorium at Kakrail in the city recently. Representatives from the member organizations of BASIS participated in the meeting while the meeting presided over by BASIS President Syed Almas Kabir.
Among others, Senior Vice President of BASIS Rasel T Ahmed, Vice President M Rashidul Hasan, Vice President Farhana A Arhman, Director Uttam Kumar Pal, Director Mostafizur Rahman Sohel, Director Sonia Bashir Kabir, Director Riad S A Hossain and Director Delowar Hossain Faruk including the representatives from above two hundred member organizations were also present in the meeting. Post, Telecommunication and ICT Minister and Former BASIS President Mustafa Jabbar was also present in the event.
Members of the BASIS those who present in the meeting paid a standing honor the newly appointed minster for his remarkable contribution in association's progression. Mustafa Jabbar said, "Credit for the reorganization that BASIS achieved locally and globally goes to the member organizations of BASIS. BASIS will also keep contributing for country's ICT progress in future too, as the minister expected."
