Community Health Care Providers of the district observed a sit-in-demonstration for the 4th consecutive day demanding regularization of their job. The program was also conducted by Shifat Ahmed Khan, general secretary of the organisation, Sirajganj district unit.
They took to the street in front of the office of district civil surgeon on Tuesday morning. At that time, he speakers demanded regularisation of their jobs. The speakers said about 40 crores patients have already taken health services from 14,000 community clinics in the country since the beginning of the service. At beginning, the government pledged to regularise the job of around 13,500 health care providers. But now, the government has decided to bring all the health care providers under a trusty board.
The decision of government has caused of frustration for the health care providers and their family members. They are now facing uncertainty over their livelihoods and future because their service age for the government jobs has already exceeded.
