Mahbubul new chairman of Nakla Upazila

AKM Mahbubul Alam Shohagh has been elected as the chairman of Nakla Upazila Parishad in Sherpur. President of municipal AL AKM Mahbubul Alam Shohagh got 51,552 votes in the boat symbol and his nearest & the only competing Joint Secretary of Upazila AL (AL rebel candidate/independent) Former upazila chairman Shah Mohammed Borhan Uddin got 13,636 votes in the motorcycle symbol.

The number of cancellation votes is 978. On 29 March Thursday at 63 center of upazila there were uninterrupted voting until 8am to 4pm and declare the result end of 8pm. According to the Nakla upazila election office sources, the total number of voters in the upazila was 151,283.

Of them 66,166 votes cum 43.74 percent of the voters applied the voting rights in this election. On the occasion of the voting, all government and MPO-affiliated educational institutions have declared general leave. Besides, Banesh-wardi Northern Govt Primary School and Purbalava Govt Primary School have also announced a holiday on 31 March Saturday for the by-election to general ward mamber of Banswaradi union and 8 No ward in Gouradhar Union.
