League General Secretary Obaidul Quader yesterday slammed BNP for misleading people of the country and asked the party to take lesson from the Khulna City Corporation (KCC) polls.
"The victory of Awami League in the Khulna City Corporation election is an outcome of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's achievement in attaining the development. BNP should take lesson from the election," Quader said.
Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, came up with these remarks in a post-polls press conference of the party at Sheikh Hasina's Dhanmondi political office in Dhaka last night.
Terming BNP's allegation of vote rigging as broken record, Quader said the party does not have anything without making meaningless uttering.
Claiming that no independent observer did raise any question over the fairness and transparency of the election, the Awami League leader said dishing out falsehood over the election is the last resort of BNP.
