NCC Bank hopes to be top by next year

NCC Bank hopes to be top by next year NCC Bank Limited organized a 'Meet the Press' program at its premises in Motijheel marking its 25th anniversary yesterday.

Chairman of NCC Bank Limited Md Nurun Newaz Selim hopped that NCC Bank to be the top bank in the country by 2019. The bank is also going to be launched three new services such as Gold Savings Account, Festive Loan and Travel Loan in order to avail benefit of advance technology and services.

He made the remark while speaking at the 'Meet the Press' program organized at NCC Bank Bhaban in Motijheel marking the 25th anniversary of the bank yesterday.

Managing Director and CEO of the bank Mosleh-uddin Ahmed answered various quarries of the journalists present at the event. Vice-Chairman Sohela Hossain and Directors Khairul Alam Chaklader, Deputy Managing Directors Khondoker Nayeemul Kabir, Md Habibur Rahman and SEVP Muhammad H Kafi along with other senior executives of the bank were also present on the occasion. Speakers of the press meet said that the total deposits, advances and profit at the end of the year 2017 reached Tk 159,988.45 million, Tk 146,633.84 million and Tk 5,354.06 million respectively.

Bank's position in terms remittance collection is fifth in the country with 56 percent increased compared to the previous year. Total import and export amount were Tk 83,722.55 million and Tk 25,893.60 million respectively during last year. The rate of growth is 49 percent and 55 percent respectively.

Chairman Md Nurun Newaz Selim said that NCC Bank started commercial banking operations on May 17, 1993 converted from investment company National Credit Limited with 16 branches and currently operates through 111 branches.

Describing the various social commitments of the bank, he mentioned of taking various initiatives to take the bank in top position in compliance by 2019. He said that NCC Bank is working not only for profit but also for the welfare of the people.

Mentioning of taking advantage of various facilities considering the welfare of bank officials and employees he expressed his optimism that with the strength of first 25 years experience the bank will be in better position in the next 25 years. Managing Director and CEO Mosheh Uddin Ahmed said that NCC Bank going ahead by achieving customers satisfaction.
