Two siblings drown in Jashore

Two brothers and sister drowned in pond at Shishpur village under Sharsha upazila of Jashore on Monday morning.  The deceased are Redwan Ahmed (6) and Maliha Ahmed (5). They are both children of Kamrul Islam of the Upazila.

Quoting family members, Mashiur Rahman, officer in-charge of Sarsha police station, said the two were playing on the bank of the pond near their house at about 1:30 pm. Suddenly, the children slipped into the pond and drowned.
