Four police officials now supernumerary
Benazir Ahmed,Asaduzzaman Mia ,Sk Himayet Hossain, Nazibur Rahman
The government has promoted four Additional Inspector General (AIG) of police-ranked officials to supernumerary grade I (equivalent to secretary).
The four officials are Director General of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Benazir Ahmed, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commi-ssioner Asaduzzaman Mia, chief of Criminal Investigation Depart-ment (CID) Sheikh Himayet Hossain and Principal of Sarda, Rajshahi Mohammad Nazibur Rahman.
The promotion came after the four supernumerary grade I posts were created against the grade II additional inspector general posts in Bangladesh Police.
The police wing-3 of the Ministry of Home Affairs recently issued a circular regarding creation of the supernumerary grade I posts temporarily and promotion of the four police officials.
