The first namaz-e-janaza of Bangladesh Cricket Board director and chairman of the Bangla-desh Premier League Twenty20 governing council Afzalur Rahman Sinha will not be held on Friday due to unavoidable reason as it was scheduled. BCB sources said that the body of Late Sinha has not reached yet.
He breathed his last at the Gleneagles Global Hospital in Chennai on Wednesday. Afzalur Rahman was also the Chairman of ACME Laboratories Limited. He was 68. The BCB expressed their deep sadness and extends heartfelt sympathy to his family members and near and dear ones.
Sinha, a renowned cricket organizer, was the President of Dhaka League club Surjo Tarun with which he had been involved for two decades. He was a Director of Abahani Limited and had been the President of Azad Boys Club.
Afzalur Rahman Sinha also left his mark on the business sectors of the country. According to ACME Laboratories Ltd website, Sinha served as a Director of Sinha Wool Wears Ltd and Sinha knit Industries. He served as a Director of ACME Agrovet & Beverages Ltd, Sinha Printers Ltd, ACME IT Ltd, The ACME Overseas Trading Ltd, ACMUNIO International Ltd, Sinha Fabrics Ltd, Sinha Wool Wears Ltd and Sinha Knit Industries Ltd.
