The Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) has called for working together to control drugs and eliminate child labor from the country. The apex business body made the call on Sunday at a meeting of the FBCCI Standing Committee relating to Ministry of Social Welfare, held at its board room in the city, said a press release yesterday.
Chairman of the Standing Committee Sarwar Hasan Alo presided over the meeting. FBCCI directors Nizamuddin Rajesh and Hafez Harun-Or-Roshid also took part at the discussion. A large number of business persons from different sectors joined the meeting.
Speakers at the meeting stressed on designing programmes for the wellbeing of people and the society. They also emphasized on creating awareness about autism and wellbeing of the people and the society across the country.
The meeting discussed that to build a disciplined and livable society responsible behavior of the citizens is very necessary.
Business leaders felt the need for following traffic rules to maintain a satisfactory transport system. The discussants emphasized on work separately for drugs control, child labor elimination and autism awareness. They also mentioned the need for working on humanitarian purposes.
