9 fishermen rescued from Bay of Bengal


Bangladesh Navy (BN) rescued nine fishermen of a fishing trawler that sank near to Mongla fairway in the Bay of Bengal yesterday morning after colliding with a commercial vessel.

Swadhin-3, with 12 fishermen onboard, from Patharghata sank after colliding with a ship at dawn, an ISPR release said. BN ship Turag reached the place of occurrence immediately and pulled out nine fishermen out of the sea.
