Tiger reach UAE with new hope


Bangladesh will be looking forward to make the most of their recent success against West Indies as they reached United Arab Emirates for their Asia Cup campaign on Sunday.Apart from Tamim Iqbal and Rubel Hossain, who are yet to avail their respective visa all the members of the team reached UAE.

Bangladesh have achieved remarkable improvement to the ODI format in last three-four years. Although their performance in overseas not up to the mark, but recently they won 2-1 ODI series victory over Windies in the Caribbean. It was away series win after nine years.

''Naturally we are confident,'' said Ariful Haque ahead of their campaign. ''We had good training session leading up to the tournament and now it is time to replicate our skills in the middle,'' said the lower-middle order batsman who can also bowl a few overs.

Ariful added that he is looking forward if there is any opportunity that comes in the Asia Cup that will help him make his debut in ODI format. ''I don't think that the weather will be any different from what we are used to in Bangladesh,'' said Ariful.
